I read that Jean Harlow's mother often signed photos for Jean?
Does anyone a sample of a Ms. Harlow's "Jean Harlow" autograph?
As always

Yes, that's true that her mother almost always signed for her. Luckily, that's been known for many years in the hobby so reputable dealers and auctions have made the distinction when offering Harlow material.
Here's a nice "Mama Jean" signed portrait that Bonham's offered some years ago:

Hi Eddy!
Thanks for the image. Based on what I've read about Jean Harlow, her mother---and Judy Garland's mother----were typical 'stage door mothers" who lived vicariously through their daughters' success. I'm sure Mama Jean delighted in signing autographs for her hugely popular daughter.
"Smothering" would probably be the word, LOL!
I don't know if you've read David Stenn's BOMBSHELL on Jean Harlow or not but I would highly recommended it. I found it both well written and great fun!
I've seen Bombshell on Amazon. Based on your recommendation I'll pick up a copy.
