Hey, this is really great. Ive been contemplating doing this with a few of my cuts as well. Did you do this yourself or send it off to be made? Ive looked into this from time to time for doing it myself and never pull the trigger because im worried about problems like acid burn long term from not using proper materials. Im just really curious about the procedure in general.

My idea is to use 2 ply cotton rag museum board on both sides of the cut with a top and back cover of different photo papers from Red River Paper and press it together using archival glue. Probably will do a few practice runs at some point to see how it turns out but always curious. My wife and I are proficient with photoshop and it seems like a no brainer to get this done with items in our collection but would need to be 100% certain its the best practice for long term storage. Ive stopped framing a while ago because of uncertainties to what it would do to my collection over the span of decades and even centuries.

I don't know if they are still in business, but Linenco made acid free true archival materials like hinges, glue, linen tape, and all reversible. Great materials for books too.
