Why don't you start a signature study discussion on Bolan and T.Rex? Bring in other collectors you feel know the band well. Signature studies can be tremendously valuable, and help the entire hobby.

To be honest there is not a big market for Bolan autographs. There is one dealer who tends to buy a lot of T.rex that comes to market.

I claim no knowledge of Bolan's autograph, but one thing I have wanted to ask - 2 of the examples shown here are signed essentially upside down (and appear the same hand to me). How many authentic Bolan autographs show this choice of placement/angle?

None that i know about.
I've never seen one signed with a marker pen
I've never seen a small Signed photo
I've never seen a signed colour signed photo
Now i see 3
I've seen some at 45°

This morning out of the blue you charged me with the following task:
"A signed photo of Bolan
Must be color
Can't be 10x8 or over
Must be with a marker pen
I will be long gone before you find one, so good luck

Michael"
This is the best I can do so far.
It is said to be a signed color trading card (small). An import said to be from a series of at least 94, which tells me they are not unique. I have seen 2 now. Imports 1973-74. Just because you never saw one does not equal "they don't exist". Others may. Other than this. No, I don't know the source. You should be able to tell if it is genuine. It probably is not but the cards may well be. Are these forgeries or some kind of facsimile?

PS - the other example (not posted) is said to be 4.5 x 5 inches and from Italy. I might guess these are all that dimension.They may well not be authentically signed but the cards seem to exist.

This is the other one mentioned above. Sigs appear the same - 2 different sources.

This one is a Dutch card, #50. If there were small color photographs or cards then they could have been signed. It is not my place to work out the signatures, except to say the 12 you posted show extreme variation is certainly possible.
