It has a COA by someone mentioning his opinion....

Oh yes - a lot came from the well known fake source.

Here is the link: https://www.ebay.com/itm/314832618979?itmmeta=01HSRNGNBKQ1C8MTZFWVV...

I think that all COAs are trash, they simply can't guarantee the authenticity. The "expert companies" issuing COAs for clear fakes should be brought to justice, imho. Otherwise this industry will be drown in fakes.

yep - i think a full COA might cost around 150 USD if not more. This opinion fools the buyer. We all make errors for sure but if a professional company/person makes a lot of errors and gets money for it - this should be questioned... Unfortunatley the auction houses dont care.

I have no problem with the figure if they are right. Us fans know that each Beatles might have a dozen different styles over the years - and a lot of errors were done by those people/companys. How should they be correct from Abba to Zappa if they mess up sometimes such well documented field as Beatles and solo?

And yes - they are always right even they are proven wrong.

I once pulled items out of auctions that were certified - but I know the person who allegially got those autographs according to the COA and they never did!

My experience has been that there are more "ego issues" in autograph collecting than other areas of collecting interest that I have been involved in.  It's been an interesting phenomenon to observe.

BTW - the one started this thread has a COA by REAL!! The seller should better ask in this group for advise.

When I write a letter for a Gleason it doesn't become real.

I fully agree. A lot of solo sigs that he messed up. For auction houses it is simple to refer on him but he could just claim it is only his opinion.

Omg. This is embarassing. Likely cost 150usd to get this paper. Not worth a Penny.
