Hi everyone.

A long time reader and occasional poster here.

I have learnt a lot from this forum over the years so I have a lot of respect for the opinions of members.

I wanted to gauge views of authenticity on this 1964 McCartney postcard, signed on the back.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi Ballroom. Thanks for your input. So the card is a different version of the print to the one you posted. Does that have bearing do you feel??!

Yes, and the one you posted seems different stock and with much sharper detail. What is your interpretation Ballroom?

I thought it might be a repro, but here’s one from Tracks that also looks different.

Thank you. I see now why you were double-checking. I thought the McCartney looked good?

It looks good to me if it’s live ink.

To me this appears the card you posted but in a different state of preservation. Both display emulsion chips at the edges that seem lacking in the OP. Also, the way the background in reproduced lacks that shadow cloud feel.

The edges, in terms of image, are often slightly different on photographic postcards which I collect passionately so that does not indicate much I think.

Does anyone know what the actual postcard image is from? It's not the fan club is it??
