I think this is a slick forgery - you? Seller has questionable and secretarial material. This appears well crafted but also atypical in many ways. I am finding some problem with everything I see here.

Opinions most welcome.

I feel I should have; it was so under contrasted. Something was off (same color all now) and we now know what & why. It is period from appearances.

I just thought it was a typical low quality auction listing.  Good to know there is a preprint and may be others out there.  That also explains the lack of a name on it.

Indeed, and that is out of the norm for him from what we have seen.

Well, it is period and it is Blacula, so $33 shipped and the rest refunded.

While some hate preprints I consider ones such as this one to be historically connected to the movie or actor.  If it is an authorized preprint like this. Obviously, if someone makes their own that is different.  I have a preprinted sepia postcard like photograph from the late 20s early 30s with a signature that at first glance looks exactly right.  I will have to hunt it up.   I do not destroy preprints but mark on the back where the autograph is that is a preprint.  I consider them historical artifacts.  I have a really nice 8x10 preprint of Jack Lord that was commonly sent to fans.  The same holds true for sanctioned secretarial signatures.  I intentionally bought one that Richard O. Linke did of Andy Griffith.    Forgeries are different of course.  I would destroy those but not before taking high quality scans to study.

Yes, I agree - in context it is collectable. I once bought a preprint/stamp, in teal green no less, of Jackie Gleason!

I seem to recall seeing that.  I know there are some obscure actors and actresses I would accept even an official pre-print as a filler for my collection.   I am attempting to avoid to temptation of getting a William Marshall.  I thought I had one of those Star Trek cards but do not.  I keep telling myself I need to just concentrate on the core collections and not start more.
