Very nice but parchment? That is a deckled edge. That looks nothing like prepared animal skin.

You are right about the deckled edges, Eric, but "parchment" as a term is used nowadays also for any high quality paper (handmade, e.g.) made to resemble that made from animal skin.

Personally I wouldn't quibble with that descriptor but I do think describing the image as "breathtaking" is a bit of a stretch.

Not much of a quibble, just not used to seeing that. I certainly agree about the image.

Reminds me of a gigantic version of those child  portraits done on a dot matrix printer that people hung on their walls in the 70's.
