Hello all, this is my first post and excited to compare notes. I'm new to collecting and apart from a few outliers I am mostly focused on building a collection of great film noir actors from classic hollywood. I'll share some of the ones I've purchased so far (you all might be able to spot some fakes). At the moment, though, my white whale is to find an authentic Barbara Stanwyck autograph.

Here are a couple I've got my eyes on currently. What do you think? Are either of these genuine? Can anyone recommend the most reputable dearlers that I should inquire with?

1. Ebay 8x10 Photo
2. Signed envelope Girl Scouts dated 1962 - could be funny next to one of her bad girl movie role photos.

Thanks so much for any help you can offer.

I would want to rule out a preprint/facsimiles to be sure after seeing this with a different pen for the dedication. Not the same signature but suggestive enough to warrant a look:

Yes good to compare with this very similar photo be on guard against a reprint, thank you!

Eddy might recognize if it is a known preprint.

Avoid the photo.

The envelope looks ok.

Do you recognize the photo?

Yes, I've seen the photo before.  It was a common one sent out on her behalf.

That was my fear. Thank you Eddy.

Thanks for your thoughts Eddy! That envelope is budget friendly, too!

I think it's solid!

Ir appears the envelope was signed during the time she was likely preparing her appearance in a two-part Untouchables episode. I don't know if it's true or rumour, but she was supposedly approached to play Blanch Hudson so that might have been on her mind as well since Baby Jane started shooting on July 16th.

Oh man - well I guess the whole 'Feud' lore between Crawford and Davis adds to the Baby Jane mystique, but in an alternate universe, Stanwyck would surely have been great (as always). Thanks so much for the opinions and knowledge guys -- I bought the envelope. You made my day!

Congratulations! I look forward to seeing some of your other items/
