Would love opinion on this 1927 Scorecard

I have done a personal research to validate this "Official Baseball Scorecard" printed by the B.F. Steinel Publishing Company displaying AL and NL game results for May 9,1927.  The back of the card is stamped "Property of Henry Radosta" who lived his entire life in the Racine County WI area from 1894-1973.  There is also a handwritten reference on the back of the card to a dance arrangement to be played in the key of "F" for the Fox Trot.  The few of these that I have tracked down in other collectons all seem to have reference to the "Fox Trot" as well, but only one other contains autos.  The autographs on the front of the card include "Babe" Ruth, Gehrig and seven other Hall of Famers all signed in pencil.

Have attached pics of key autos.  Any opinions about the autos would be helpful and greatly appreciated--Also any ideas about where I could look next to research the reference to the Fox Trot  would be really awesome as well.

Before you spend a lot of money, post it here and ask for opinions and on www.net54baseball.com. PSA/DNA charges $250 for Babe Ruth and JSA is probably the same. What's the guarantee or return privilege on your piece?

I don't have a photo right now to post, but it is exactly same Milwaukee vs. Toledo scorecard as the one from earlier in the discussion.  I compared the two signatures and they are exactly alike.  This scorecard also has the fox trot song on the back.  I paid $350 for the piece, I would rather not lose any money. Thanks.

A genuine version of what you're describing would be more than 10-times what you paid, probably a lot more. Obviously someone's buying scorecards and forging them.

Jeremy, if you could post a pic of the Milwaukee vs. Toledo scorecard that you purchased with these autographs signed on it, that would be extremely valuable information for me to follow-up on.  Everyone of these cards that I have observed (with or without autographs) ALL have reference to a dance arranged for the Fox Trot. None of them that I have observed have the same reference to what appears to be the first line of the song or the "key" by which the arrangement is to be played.  A photo of your scorecard, though, would give me one more reference to compile additional reference.  I also have found out the area of the country from which this particular lot was consigned...Unfortunately, I wasn't able to discern the consignor's name or company, but I am going to keep digging...and trust me I'm like a Cairn Terrier trying to root out a varmint when it comes to stuff like this.....In fact, a varmint may be just what I FIND!!

net54baseball is by far the best source for free advice on baseball signatures.  You can bet that if I was in the market for a Ruth I would put it up for discussion there first.

You would think the authenticator would research this as well.  I saw a Pat Tillman single signed mini helmet authenticated by this guy on a mini helmet with the new  Cardinal logo........designed 3 years after his death. I saw another obvious Tillman forgery with this guys name on it but think it was with a GAI sticker. After seeing that I wouldn't trust him to authenticate his own signature.

I have copies of both still saved on my computer in AZ. I'll try and dig them out when I get home next week so everyone can get a laugh.

For $250 a piece, Ill take a dozen.  Maybe if the person selling these jacked the price up to $2000-$2300 then their gig would last longer.

You can't go just by that, Mike. People who don't know any better send genuine stuff to ACE, TTA, PAAS and the FDEs. But no one in the know who wanted to get market value would offer a genuine autograph with just their authentication.

I agree Steve....the authentication by ACE is the BIG ?? here...and this is exactly why I am going to forward this to Rich Simon for his review...Thanks for that information, by the way....All of this input has been extremely valuable and I would recommend this site for amateurs or pros alike..great group with a wide variety of knowledge
