I have a Morrison autograph. Bought it 10 years ago. Anybody have any opinions about the authenticity of it?

I have compared it to known signatures on Doors stationary, checks, and Christies auctioned signatures and it matches up all the way down to the age of paper and ink. The paper looks 40 years old. Ball point pen. Would love to have someone authenticate it or give me a value of it. Thanks.

The dreaded hot potato. Good point!

Did you see the other? Signed Jim M?

If you're interested in seeing better fakes that have sold for thousands of dollars, check out this thread:

The seller of this poorly faked Morrison signature also sells alot of corkscrews. So if you by from him, you are sure to be....I guess you get the point.

Exactly. And he took such pains to beat it up for that vintage look! I can't imagine even the most simple of fans folding an authentic autographed 8x10 in quarters.

I wonder what percentage of these poor fakes that receive a bid are actually sold. There are so many of them on eBay. Here's another really bad one:

I saw that one too. Looks like the angle here is "it's not even Jim's standard sig, so surely it must be real"

Somebody bid on the other one already :(

I don't think they come worse that that one. It won't be up long.

Unlike the bad Beatles signatures on eBay, the bad Jim ones unfortunately tend to run their course.

Not this time. It's gone.

Wow! That's nice to see.

Is there a place to report suspected fraudulent items on Ebay?
