Is this an example of an older Rivera signature? It looks nothing like anything I have seen before.

Sipe advised that they would recert GAI with GA certs once authenticity determined.  In one case of a Brooks Robinson, even though free of charge, I opted not to bother since I have robinson in person with frank malzone.

Have used Goo Gone in the past removing stickers.  SInce it's citrus based it can damage but if you use a light cotton cloth and don't apply directly you can avoid damages.  they have a 3 & 9oz bottle.

good idea Zipper.

Thanks for passing that on.  I tried the Goo Gone on the mini helmets and it worked fine with a little effort.    OK on the first Maz picture but my nail made some slight indentations.  I'll try another one later.

Jon and I owned that check together and we're happy it went to a good home.  Personally, I like checks as they give some certainty as to authenticity.  I have the usual Ruth but I also have a Yankee check to Munson and one to Mattingly.  However I think my favorites are my own personal checks written to some of the players when we would pay up or contract with them.  Probably not worth much but still is more personal.  That won't work today since I never see my checks, only a scanned image in my statement.

BTW, have you tried Goo Gone? I would try getting under an edge of the sticker with a fingernail or razor... then dab a little Goo Gone along the edge and work it slowly under. It should dissolve the adhesive. I have successfully used this method to remove regular stickers and the Goo Gone has not damaged the photo.
