Anyway, in the end: Even if this man was way too naive and didn`t do his homework etc... He`s just another victim of the forgers, which is just very sad!

You get fool once or twice maybe. But to get fool 250 times is not naïve but dumb!! I am pretty sure the collector Iversen knows exactly what he have in his Beatles collection.

But some people love to be fooled! My "favourite" item in Mr Iversen's odd collection is the The Beatles 1962-66 album, released in 1973, four years after the break up, with all four signatures on, written with the same thick black felt pen! You can't beat that one. The cover is also worn and torn, with the black felt pen lines covering the wear and tear marks.

I'm looking for "genuine" Beatles autographs by their infamous roadies, Neil Aspinall & Mal Evans. They signed thousands with the approval of all four Beatles and Brian Epstein and they were real good at it. Mr Iversen's signatures are much inferior in quality compared with theirs. Not kidding about this. We all love good fakes, don't we?

Wow.. Great job everyone... I am pretty confident in what Frank Caiazzo will determine as well.. We will then see what becomes of the exhibition...

Talking about AUTHENTIC signed Beatles albums and Beatles signed items in general, heres a very interesting note from Perry Cox (Beatles expert):

SIGNED ALBUMS ARE AMONG THE RAREST AND MOST COVETED OF ALL COLLECTIBLE BEATLES ITEMS THERE IS! HERE IS A OBSERVATION FOR YOU. IT IS ESTIMATED THAT THE BEATLES, FROM START TO FINISH, WITH ALL FULLY SIGNED ITEMS INCLUDED, SIGNED PERHAPS ABOUT 5000 ITEMS TOTAL. THAT'S IT! 5000! WHEN YOU CONSIDER THE ACTUAL TIME THEY "COULD HAVE SIGNED" ANYTHING TOGETHER, AND CONSIDERING THEIR PRIVATE TIME, RECORDING TIME, ETC., ETC.. THAT IS ABOUT THE RIGHT NUMBER. THAT WOULD INCLUDE ALL ITEMS LIKE PHOTOS, DOCUMENTS, AUTOGRAPH BOOKS, PLAIN PAPER, ETC.. NOW CONSIDER THIS... WE HAVE ALSO DETERMINED BY THE KNOWN EXAMPLES THAT EXIST TODAY, THAT THERE ARE ONLY ABOUT 50 FULLY SIGNED ALBUMS! IMAGINE THAT...ONLY 50!! GIVE OR TAKE A FEW. THAT'S A STARTLING LOW NUMBER. WHY? BECAUSE MOST FANS SIMPLY WERE NOT PREPARED WHEN THEIR FATEFUL "CHANCE ENCOUNTER" WITH THE BEATLES TOOK PLACE. MOST OF THEM REACHED IN THEIR PURSES OR POCKETS AND GRABBED WHATEVER COULD BE WRITTEN ON! AND MOST ASSUREDLY, AND MOST OFTEN, THE FULL SIZE ALBUM COVERS WERE LEFT AT HOME. THAT MAKES A SIGNED ALBUM EXTREMELY RARE INDEED!

So let`s say if there is about 50 complete signed Beatles albums in total out there and Mr. Iversen himself has got 31 of them... well... I`m not gonna say more...;)

The number is more like 125 band-signed Beatles albums, but that doesn't diminish your valid point.

Thanks Steve. It`s good to keep as much as possible of the information on this site as correct as we can, so you`re correction are more than welcome..

True. Most of the genuine signatures are written on tiny pieces of paper. The fans grabbed whatever they could find and asked them to sign it. To complicate the matter further, each of the Beatles also signed on behalf of the others; if you managed to grab hold of Ringo, he'd be polite and sign for the rest of the band! It was just a matter of being nice with people. No one thought they would sell for thousands of pounds in the future. There's an interesting link to these below.

The last news about this exhibition:

Experts say Beatles signatures are false

Several experts on Beatles signatures have now examined the signatures on the Beatles LP covers displayed in the Get Back– Signed the Beatles albums – exhibition. Their conclusion is that the signatures are false.

Petter Myhr – the director of the Rockheim museum in Trondheim, Norway, where Get Back is currently on display – has decided to continue the exhibition but with a focus on the business of rock star signatures.

The museum has invited everybody to an open debate on Sunday 29 April. Who can decide if a signature is true or false? Is it ever possible to be absolutely certain whether a signature is authentic or not? These are some of the issues that will be discussed.

Different experts – including the signature expert Nigel Lemon and the collector and owner of the signed LP covers in Get Back, Einar Arne Iversen – will participate in the debate. The redefinition of the exhibition in this way is a wise decision. The ‘rock star signature business’ obviously needs to be debated. This is a competitive industry with stakeholders who have various motivations. Determining whether a signature is authentic or not is no easy task.

The Statoil art programme expresses regret that this situation has arisen. The exhibition has of course been shown internally based on the premise that the Beatles signatures on the LP covers are authentic. Lessons learned from this experience will definitely be retained.

-Thanks to this site there will now come something positive out of these poor forgeries!!!

Total ca-ca...not even close...and have you seen the crowds that turned out to see this stuff???

I know that its completely unrelated to the Beatles, but it fits here in topic.

In Prague, there was similar exhibition called "Elvis lives" (I was informed by other European fans, that this exhibition is touring around Europe for few years, at least since 2008!) - it was not supposed to be exhibition of autographs, but his costumes and private property (as it was promoted "including the last Cadillac he ever bought"). Positive thing was that there was no admission, because the exhibition happened in big shopping center... The security was rather poor, there were many things absolutely without security guards. As Elvis "fan" I know, that the costumes which were there were just copies made by B&K, not originals (which almost never leaves Graceland), there was a "copy" of the legendary guitar from 68 Comeback Special, which was promoted as Elvis´s own guitar, but even below average EP fan (as me) knows, that the electric guitar from 68 Special was not owned by Elvis, it was borrowed from Al Casey.... I just cant help myself, but whats the idea of fools who organizes this? I changed few mails with organizer of the Czech exhibition and in fact, it was just part of "tour" organized by German company who owns the stuff.... Our organizer was fooled as he was not EP "fan" expert, but still - I have to ask myself, WHY someone do this?

Just illustrating photographs what we had on this exhibition:

Copy of his original suit known among fans as "Memphis suit":

This was supposed to be his last Cadillac he ever bought.... In fact, the last one, he got in early 77 had blue color!!

Hillarious! :(

And I almost forgot the Hagstrom guitar which was described as Elvis´s instrument, but he never own that! BTW AFAIK this is copy which Hagstrom began to produce in early 80s, because of popularity of this guitar and its just poor guitar comparing to the "top league" guitar from 60s.
