I dont know what to look for but after reading operation bullpen youre not want go buy any autograph unless it is from companys such as steiners sports, hollywood collectibles, and mounted memories! that is why I dont buy autographs ! I get them myself and I know they are real!

I dont buy very many autographs but yeah I think the forgers get very defensive when their fakes are questioned.
One way I trade and sell autographs I get from conventions is to take a picture or short video with my camera of the person actually signing the item Im selling. The item and autograph MUST be clear so the buyer knows thats the actual one in the photo. I can make a lot more off the items and nobody can question anything this way.
If the seller "met" all these people and only has generic photos of them signing something then I would def run away from their auction. Ask why they wouldnt take photos of the celeb signing if they were getting these signatures to sell??

At least this time, this one is authentic. So, you'll be getting a $500 item instead of a worthless secretarial. Like the Frank Sinatra secretarial, value $0 , they had listed on eBay for $5000 a coouple weeks ago until they removed it (most likely when they saw it posted here, in this forum).

Oh it is the right link! Of course it did NOT sell or it would still be viewable. And, do you think ANYONE is going to pay $13000 for a Stan Laurel signed photo?? They watch this forum and eveytime one of their listings are posted they remove it. Just go to their eBay listings and copy one in this forum, then watch it dissapear....

I don't consider their generally very high prices an ethical problem. Dealers can charge whatever they want as long as they're not misleading the customer or selling items that aren't authentic. And people can check prices before they buy.

It's not unethical... EXACTLY, , it's just a very shoddy way of doing business. They obviously are PREYING on the INexperienced , their business relies heavily on "collector ignorance" always looking and hoping to land that Grandmother new to eBay looking for a Stan Laurel (or Michael Jackson or Bob Hope for $900) signed photo for her grandson's birthday. It may not be defined as "unethical" but it smells of sleezy business practice.

When you are searching on eBay for say historical autographs, you have to SKIP the first page because it is inundated with History Direct delussional pricing.
