I discussed a number of concerns, but I said we didn't have a problem with what we got from him and that when we sent material to PSA/DNA I got from Aring, about 95% passed, which I think is good for modern celebs. We guaranteed anything would pass PSA or we'd even refund fees, or send it in ourselves, and images went in the magazine. No one brought anything up to us.
Mike was suspended for different reasons.
There was an entire discussion that I deleted that it was a part of. It had gotten pretty wild and members wanted it to go. -

Thats actually probably not the reason he was booted Michael. Me and Mr. Airing got into several altercations , and i know that i was one of many who asked Steve to do something about it. He had a tremendous amount of knowledge on autographs, but he talked to people like they were dogs. This is the reason he was kicked off.
I happen to remember the thread your speaking of really well b/c it was the one in which me and Mr. Airing got into a large arguement. Mr. airing had a signature that he said he obtained in person that steve didnt like or think was authentic. Which i guess he is entitled to his own opinion. Their was nothing in that thread though about Steve telling Airing he sold forgeries. He just questioned that one item. And then stuff was brought up about Starbrite by Mike.

We should get PSA/DNA & JSA online as well as there seems to be concerns. Of course, that hasn't happened to date,

@Sipe; since I don't know where this will end up with thread/comment sequencing...
It's good if one can take a non-authentic out of circulation. However, since your presumably not the owner of it - is there any requirement on this seller to actually return the piece to you?
I've always wondered - why not just "cancel" the certification that was issued and note it somehow in their respective databases. We know PSA & JSA don't do this so perhaps GA can start a new trend. Are there some problems associated with doing this?

I've written about silverscreensignatures on here before on the James Stewart thread and elsewhere. They sell a lot of forgeries, usually authenticated by GA, and occasionally authentic items they buy from RR. You reminded me of this Elvis they sold about a year ago.

The King of Rock and Roll leads our non-sports list in 2010. Passing away at only 42 years of age in 1977, the amount of authentic autographs is extremely limited. Elvis' popularity is global. For example, large numbers of forgeries can be found in Europe, not just the United States. More specifically, Germany and the Netherlands. Very few handwritten letters, which are extremely desirable, are known of this American Icon. Signed photos are the most prevalent type of authentic Elvis autographs but they still have been known to sell for thousands of dollars at auction.
