Can somebody please tell me the reputations of Famous Ink and Gridiron Collectibles ? They both have a Wes Welker autographed Miami Dolphins mini helmet that I've been looking for, but I'm not familiar with either company. Thank you !

I have bought items from Gridiron Authentics that are good autographs. Somebody posted something about JSA not passing them. I have had a bad experience with JSA and will never use them or by anything from them. They passed a fake Dennis Martinez ball. PSADNA is much better and more experienced. There are other sources that you can use too besides PSADNA.

PSA would have said the same!

Had them take a look at an auction I was going to buy from Gridiron Authentics

I have done a lot of investigating with this company and IMO they are no good. They have an unlimited supply of all the big name players. That is the first red flag. They have been selling multiple Brady''s every week for at least 7 years. Montana, Marino, Namath, Rice, Sanders, Manning, they never run out.

Many of these players have their own hologram but for some reason they never put it on this company's items. Why? Just go through their feedback and see the large number of big name players they have sold, for prices you couldn't get them to sign for.

Here is a test you can use. Email or call them and ask them the last time they did a signing with Tom Brady or Peyton Manning? Ask them specifically when and where an item was signed. Ask them when their next signing is.  Ask them why they NEVER do any shows. For a company as large as they are, they would be doing some of the major shows to drum up business yet they are never at any of the major shows. hmmmmm. Like one poster said, look at all the revised feedback.

I found a post on another forum where the poster said he had done a signing with an athlete and taken the pictures himself, gridiron had the same photo on their listing and when confronted, said their agent gave them the picture and then took down all those listings for that player and never listed them again. hmmm

If you look at their feedback, you will see many people say they received an item different from the one pictured, IMO it's because they take photos of legit items and then send garbage. IMO based on the things I have read and observed, they may be moving extreme large quantities of bad autographs, the likes of which might rival Operation Bullpen.

These kind of sites like this one are good to identify both bad and good sellers, I encourage you all to really dig into some of these sellers. Do a google search, ask questions of the seller, look for anything that looks suspicious and just because some people say they are legit, do your own due diligence. It is not possible for them to have sold the number of Mannings and Bradys they have sold over the years. Just go back and count them for yourself in their feedback. Look at the picture they are using for Peyton Manning, that is not a recent pic but they have been selling him for years and years and never run out.

I myself have sent emails to them to ask specific authentication questions and they never reply but if you send an email about combined shipping, the answer within minutes. Don't be fooled. They have a nice listing, nice looking COA, but anybody can put that stuff together.

Send these guys an email and ask why they don't put Joe Montana's personal hologram on their items. Same for Jerry Rice, same with Drew Brees or Troy Aikman. Ask them how they were able to do a signing with John Elway when he has an exclusive contract with Mounted Memories. This stuff does not add up!

Do you think at some point when they started all of his stuff was authentic? In the early 2000s all of them seem real.  I bought 5 items from him during that time. I bought Donovan McNabb, Barry Sanders, Deion Sanders on a NFL football and and 8 X 10 Dominique Wilkens. What is everyone's take on this? I can post pictures. Just let me know. Autograph magazine had an article when they were actually a magazine on the celebrity division shortly after I bought this stuff.

I would like it if you could post your photo of Barry Sanders. There is a chance that when they started out, they were legit, but as it stands right now, everything we have seen is a forgery!

Gridiron Authentics and AAA = Operation Bullpen.
