Paid for the PSA quick peek and it came back "Likely not authentic" but they don't say why they think that.

They did the exact same thing to me, they just issued a refund.. It is obviuos that they are up to no good and they prob feel if they just issue a refund there will be nothing else said about the items.. They have been sent emails a few times to come on here and comment and nothing as of yet.. I feel the days are numbered for Gridiron..

Parry is a good choice of words DB. To deflect or fend off, that is exactly what I think is trying to be done. They didn't give me a hard time. No explanation other than these being bad is "ridiculous" and they would address the issues.

I'm not sure whether this thought has been revisited, but does this now put the apparent sister company Celebrity Authentics in question? If one stinks, isn't it a somewhat fair assumption that the other does?

If one mixes good and bad, you have to assume the other one does. But I've never heard any authenticity concerns about Celebrity Authentics.

Really hoping the people involved with this company get what they deserve. I've been telling people for years that they are bad but sadly, most people don't listen. I believe the scope of fraud they are committing is staggering.
Many people don't want to believe it because they have spent so much money on their items. A case of just wanting to believe they are authentic. If nothing else, there has been some momentum online building up in the last year to bring to light what is going on. These guys are major fraudsters and it should only be a matter of time before they go down!

Hi Peter, or anyone else who has been taken by this company, may I suggest you file a report on ripoffreport.com
They have a few complaints on there and the more they get, the better chance of putting an end to this garbage.

The complaints on ripoffreport.com are all from the same guy and he never he offers any reason or proof as to why he thinks there stuff is fake. Again, I'm not defending Gridiron Authentics. They obviously have problems as already discussed. But if your going to make a claim like that show some proof. This thread is the only example I know of where their stuff didn't pass 3rd party authentication. Clearly not all their stuff is fake.
That said, the internet is full of fakes from lots of people. Anyone buying anything online that isn't authenticated has to understand the risk of it being fake. If you take that risk anyway and it doesn't work out, that's on you.

This one has been brought up, but many of these athletes have their own hologram, but they're mysteriously missing on all the Gridiron stuff. Why? Even if you had the option to pass on it, why would you?

Show me an authentic Favre autograph after the 90's that does not have his own hologram on it.

I was just looking at their feedback from Nov 2006 to Nov 2008 and they sold 526 Joe Montana autographs. Pretty safe to say they have kept that pace since then. That would be about 1500 Montana's.
I didn't have time to get the exact numbers but they would be fairly close. Just go through their feedback. Starting in NOV 2006, that is when you can see the item purchased. Tons of all the big names. Montana, Namath, Jim Brown, Manning, Brady, Aikman, Bradshaw, Rice, Sanders, Elway, Marino, you name it they have sold it and they NEVER RUN OUT!
I have watched these guys for at least three years and their selling activity is that of forgers. Not only do they not run out but you regularly see Montana minis for around $60. Sorry, it's not possible, even if you did do a signing with him.
The red flags are there. They can not be explained away. I'll list a few:
1. Never ending supply of big name players
2. Constant rotation of same players dating back at least 6 years
3. They do not answer emails if you ask questions regarding authenticity prior to bidding
4. They have not replied to this thread. Sorry, if someone accuses me of selling bad autographs and I was running a legit business, I would be on here instantly with evidence to the contrary
5. They never attend the major shows, probably not the small ones either. Their inventory seems to be as good if not better than other heavy hitters like Mounted Memories, Tri Star of Steiner, yet GA never attends shows but these other companies do these major shows to get their name out their, to market their company.
6.They have supposed large inventory of players who either have their own hologram which they never have on their GA items or players who have exclusive deals with other legit companies
7. The prices some of these things go for are not possible. $50 for Montana mini, $60 for Namath mini, less than 400 for Brady. Brady almost never does signings. He is doing one soon with Tri Star who I believe has exclusive rights with him and the price is $750, but GA keeps cranking Brady's out for half that and they NEVER RUN OUT!
8. They once used a photo from a signing for an athlete and it was noticed by the person who actually did the signing and took the pics. When confronted, they took them all down and never lsited that player again
9. They claim every item signed is witnessed by them, yet those Starr, and 49er helmets are obvious forgeries. How do they explain that? I would like to hear them tell me that Starr is not a forgery
10. They supposedly do all these signings but their website lists their last signing as 2010 and someone else said that wasn't even theirs
11. If these signings are legit, why not put the date of signing on your COA?
These are just some red flags. Guarantee they will not reply as to why their is no Favre hologram on their Favres. I also guarantee they will not reply to this thread. Speaking of no holograms, why no Aikman, Brees, Montana, Rice holograms either?
The amount of money they are making is staggering and I do not believe it is legit.
How are they getting Marino to sign when he has an exclusive contract. Same with Peyton Manning.
