Michael Jackson Signing Styles in Julien's Tompkins and Bush Sale
On December 2, Julien's Auctions is selling The Collection of Tompkins and Bush. The collection contains 465 lots of Michael Jackson memorabilia, 287 of them autographed.
Michael Bush and the late Dennis Tompkins were Michael Jackson's costume designers for 25 years, during Jackson's most successful period. They were the consignors of the signed Thriller jacket that Julien's sold for $1,800,000 in June 2011.
Almost all of the autographs in the Tompkins and Bush sale are a variation I'm not familiar with. I've only been looking at Jackson's autograph for a few years, though, and we have members here who have collected him for decades, so I'd appreciate your input and exemplars.

Julien's is the world's premier auction house for Michael Jackson memorabilia, so they would know his autograph better than most of us. I'm just surprised I haven't seen this style before.

lots of items were signed without being marked as "signed" in the headers, did you take them into account too?

I think I have them all. I did a search for "signed", which returns auction lots with that word anywhere in the listing. Since that search also returned listings with words like "designed" I tried to catch those. If I'm off, I think I'm only off by a few.

did anyone print out what the items went for (vs what they were valued at?) Since Darren says he's suing. There was values next to the items. Wouldn't Darren have to have damages to file a suit? I believe that everything went for the value they estimated it at, or above. Just curious - and to make sure someone prints it out in case you do get "lawyer's" letters.
BTW in my opinion, I hope the "expert witness" does testify on Julien's behalf. It may just get laughed out of court, as it will be like bringing a cartoon character in and asking people to take him serious.

Darren and Tom can go spin on it,, they will definitely need a good attorney after we hit them with what we have, Michael Jackson fans/Friends and advocates are a force to be reckoned with!!! Thats why they are targeting Roger, Steve and Michael, i was outside their building from 8.30 to 5pm,, they called the cops on me, but got nowhere,, shouldn't they be suing me??? Lols...
Steve. Roger and Michael Please dont worry about a thing, Darren is shaking in his boots and this response from him shows it,,, He does not have a leg to stand on,, if this letter had any weight, TRUST me they would not have written to you, you would have had an attorneys letter,,,
May i suggest Michael you ask your attorney to reply and ask them to stop harassing you, or you will seek a restraining order against both of them!

Nobody has contacted me about anything. What did I do this time? I gave my opinion on the signatures. I'm a public figure, I can do that, the law says I can.

if they had a video they would have shown it. We, as fans, LOVED Bush. We admired his work and talent. He knew some of us but he never dared to answer our questions, he blocked us and never explained how he got the items signed, where, when etc...
there is no videos, they have no cases. Autographs are all the same s*** looking alike bush's autograph.
A 2 year old toddler could spot the scam
