Nice to see MM being featured for a change. MM and Audrey Hepburn don't seem to be discussed much in this forum - unless I'm missing some specific pages.

This "MM" looks too neat and uniform to me. Usually the Marilyn is far less legible and regular. It is also usually split into two parts (Mar-ilyn). Being so well placed on a classic magazine cover also raises alarm bells.

Who was the COA from?

Thanks for your opinion & reply

COA of a D Frangipani  USA.

CHEERS

Hi Dennis,

I hate to tell you this in the event you didnt know, but Donald Frangipani was involved in authenticating tons of forgeries in the biggest autograph bust ever...Operation Bullpen. His COAs are looked at as a very bad thing, instead of the opposite. He is also on ebays banned COA list, if that tells you anything. He has a horrid horrid reputation in the autograph industry. If you want more info just search this site and his name, or google his name followed by forgery. Its overwhelming. He is very lucky he didnt serve time for his involvement in operation bullpen.

HI Carl

Thank you for your info, but it leaves me very confused. The item came from RR auctions with the COA attached to it,  and I've found out that D Frangipani is still authenticating documents.  How could this be if he's been banned.

Re the Lennon I listed, that got thrown off ebay because I was told it was not genuine, yet a few people to date have said it's good.

I've just read the report, about the Julian's auction of many M Jackson items, which I have some to find out they could be fake.   It's very confusing, this autograph collecting don't you think.

"It's very confusing, this autograph collecting don't you think"

It sure is!

Think I'll stick to collecting vynal

I find it hard to believe that R and R auctions would supply and item with a DF cert.

It was inside, towards the back of the brochure

HI Carl so whats the opinion on the Marilyn Monroe?

Dennis

This is a beautiful example of a Secretarial Marilyn Monroe Signature.

D. Frangipani COA is worthless.

If you bought this from RR Auctions, they have a lifetime Guarantee in regards to Authenticity issues.

I know that Bill White would never let this pass as authentic.

Get in touch with them ASAP!!!!!!!

OK I'll contact them, like you said.

Is it true that D Frangipani is still authenticating items on behalf of the police?
