100% authentic Mantle signature.

authentic

That is 100% authentic.

Troy, what made you think those autographs (especially the Mantle) are forgeries?

I totally agree.. I have read a bunch of articles on here about the "banana M's" and it seems everytime I see a mantle the M's always seem to have Banana M's.  I am having a real hard time learning to distinguish the "banana" from the non banana?

Tyler, it's all about training your eyes.

Continue to train your eyes and one day it will just click.

Hard for me to explain but I will try. On real mantle balls He swirls the bottom part of the M (where you think the bottom part of the banana is) . However looking real close you can see the corner has been lightly swirled (not just sharp cornered like on banana fakes). I know not the best way to explain ( and that's just dealing with the beginning with the signature)!

First of all I need to explain a little more. I am only interested in baseball signatures (autos on the ball).  So I am really wanting a mantle ball to add to my collection and have started to study his auto on baseballs.  I only look at COA's from the "reputable sources" PSA, JSA, Steiner, MM, UD, etc. NO BS at home COA's. SO I see a lot online, ebay, steiner, etc. etc. Now some have the light swirl and some have sharp corner. BOTH have been certified. THere is one ball on steiner sports that I swear is fake, and then I see one that has the light swirl on here and you all say its forged??  Then I go on ebay and see a ton of PSA or JSA certified balls that have both swirl and no swirl.  IT looks like to me that someone gets a PSA cert and then fakes an auto and says that it comes with that particular COA.  I mean is the COA wrong or are they switching the balls?

Its possible, but we need to take every thing here individually, if the ball has a decently reputable company coa ( nobody is infallible) like the ones you mentioned and the good guys here say its good . You cant do any better since the guys dead and you cant see him sign it. Your cautious and that's good, he signed a lot, you will get an authentic one. Good luck.

All Upper Deck autographed Mantle balls were actually witnessed by an Upper Deck representative so there is no guess work if you buy one with an Upper Deck COA as long as the hologram and LOA numbers match.

It is also very unlikely that either PSA/DNA or JSA has authenticated many forgeries but with Upper Deck there is no question as to authenticity.

Real deal

OK this is why I started this, to learn...  So ill be asking lots of questions so I appreciate all answers in advance.

Thanks Again
