Sheesh, hideous forgery sold by eBay seller Hookshoteddie

Funny thing is I have purchased several AUTHENTIC Mick 8x10 photos for less. LOL.

Ryan, that is what is laughable about these people who buy forgeries at this price.  maybe they are fooled by the fake scoreboard cert?

I think they would be fooled by any piece of paper that says "Certificate of Authenticity" coming with the auction. It doesn't even have to be pictured... 

In fact, if they took the time to simply google "Scoreboard COA" they would find fairly easily that some are copied and sold with forgeries.

The people buying this stuff know absolutely nothing about autographs, they don't even realize that people forge signatures. It doesn't even cross their mind. Which is quite sad, and exactly what these forgers thrive on.

It would be an interesting experiment to run. Grab 10 people who know nothing about autographs, give them the opportunity to purchase 1 of two items presented. One item is an authentic with no papers at all, the second is a forgery with any sort of "extra papers" that comes with it saying it's real. I'd be willing to bet that 99% of people would take the forgery without even thinking twice.
