sorry for posting again, but auction is ending very soon and I'd like to hear some opinions before bidding.  JK Rowling signed on bookplate.  Besides opinion on authenticity, I'm curious if signed bookplates are considered less valuable than autographs signed on a page?  I need to know how much I'm willing to spend.

looks the same to me.... sorry I'm new at this.... are there differences?

I don't see any differences. They're both the same signature.

meaning they're photocopies?  or both legit?

The one I posted appears dark and bold and is affixed to the title page. Based on the pic, yours looks washed-out to me.

washed-out would imply it's a photocopy?

Based on the pics, that is how it appears to me.

They're nearly identical—the only difference I could spot was the slope of the stem of the "Y." But that said, I don't think the lightness/darkness issue holds up, because clearly one was photographed with a flash that washed out the entire page, and the other was not. Whether any are legit or not, I have no idea.

i'm so bad at this... i don't see any difference in the stem of the Y

The Y stem on the light one has more of a curve to it and is not as long as the one on the darker photo.

haha i still dont see it but I'll take your word for it... if thats the case, maybe theyre both authentic

I'm now thinking that these are autopen signatures.
Very good , I am leaning more towards pre-printed, her office says she does not own an autopen.
