Thanks Terrier, I bought this item for under $80 last evening. Promptly submitted to PSA quick opinion and they rendered there opinion as likely genuine this morning. I do wish the signature was more straight in line, Its a nice pose though and the signature isn't smudged, for 80 bucks I like it.

LOL

Where do you stand "Mr Miyagi"?  Do you think the photo is authentic?

In my opinion I dont think it is BUT the question really is who cares. I f you like the photo then buy it. If you have bought it keep it. That is if you like it. Me myself specifically all I care about when buying autographs is 2 things:

Number one: Do I think it is authentic?

Number two: Can I resell it?

Because no matter what anyone on here says, noone can tell 100% sure either way.

If you like it buy it and dont worry about what other people think about what you bought.

So, basically, the "LOLs" were just you mocking other members because it's something to do?

Introducing yourself to the site with pure buffoonery is hardly the best way to establish that you have anything relevant to say.  And, clearly, you don't.

It seems the LOL's were directly after someone was trying to show or explain where most forgers go wrong on a specific autograph.  Why LOL at people if they are trying to help someone understand key areas to look at?

If your opinion is that of, if you like it, buy it.... and don't care what anyone else thinks, then whats the point of coming to a sight like this one for you personally?

How do you determine if something is authentic if you have not seen it signed yourself?  I'm not trying to be a smart ass either, really.  I would like to know how you learned?

To me,

This sounds like either a troll, an amateur collector at best, or a seller of forgeries. And the attitude, and reasoning, point to the latter (seller of forgeries). That may not be the case, but the only time people come to an autograph site to laugh at others, and to use the explanation "If you like it then buy it, who really cares if others think its authentic", is almost always when they are trying to discredit collectors b/c there own forgeries have been exposed in the past. It happens all the time and is a broken record.

Why would you even be here then Miyagi? Do you hang out at autograph planet alot? B/c this is typical of there behavior. Any real collector would be turned off to say the least by the statement "No one can tell 100 percent sure either way". That is the oldest crooked ebay sellers excuse in the book. As a collector, which you identify yourself as, you would know good and well that most autograph examples can most certainly be identified beyond all reasonable doubt to be authentic/fake. Its the reason sites like this exist in teh first place.

"If you like it buy it and dont worry about what others think" is also ridiculous. Have we exposed you on this site before? B/c this is just page per page out of the ebay scammers handbook. Of course you should worry about what others think, and you obviously do to, as evident buy your rule number 2. If everyone else thinks its fake, then your not going to be able to resell it, now are you. When a board full of educated collectors tells a person overwhelmingly that there autograph is bad, or when services like Epperson or Jsa/Psa back up those negative opinions, then you should care quite a bit.

In my opinion your motives here are shady to say the least, and i would have no problem believing you are from the ANL crew or are  some seller exposed here in the past. Your statements are straight out of the crooked ebay sellers star dialogue.

You're right. Guy was a troll. Probably the EBAY seller of the crap in question.

LOL LOL (sorry I couldn't help myself)

Actually I'm hoping Miyagi isn't the seller or a troll, and it is just bad LOL timing... but who knows.

Don't be a dumb ass Carl. I didn't come on here saying anything bad about anyone. So you should start calling names. Its juvenile. Sitting behind your little monitor calling names is a coward move. Grow a pair dude.Thats all I will say to that.

For your information I am not the seller of that photo you are looking at or anything else you are commenting on. What the LOLs were really for on some of the other things I put them on is because I was (and still am) a member of a number of sites like this for a long time. Some of the being the forum on allauthentic.com and isitreal.com. and those sites goes back to 1998 which is practically the beginning of the internet... so what you can take from that, is if I know about that site I have been around for awhile.  Allauthentic.coms forum is no longer active, but it had a forum like this that I was a member of where we talked about stuff like this, posted photos and and what not, and gave opinions on sellers and the whole nine yards. As I fast forward from then to 2014, we are still talking about the same old things. So thats why the LOLs. To me.. Its the same sh** different toilet.

I used to be in these forums everyday practically... but not so much as time went on though. Mainly because I have other things to do with my life than  post thousands of messages and photos. But I still past through these sites from time to time because its a good read... and you can get a laugh. Theres so many other things going on in the world than to worry about idiots signing fake bats balls and photos that people buy reagardless of what you tell them.

I knew a guy named Don who bought memorabilia from me frequently. He owned an company that installed AC units in commercial air planes. The guy was LOADED with cash. He calls me up one day and asked my opinion about buying a signed Babe Ruth Bat that had this great almost mint signature. He asked me was $10,000 a good buy. Of course I said that would be a steal. But I then asked him who authenticated it? He says some professional forensic guy named Christopher Morales.. (LOL)  Now we all know about this guy and his rep in the business. I promptly tell him don't buy it because the guy has a bad rep in the business for authenticating forgeries and if he ever tries to sell it he wont be able to sell it on the open market unless he sells it to someone who doesn't know or care about authenticity. He says he wont buy it. About a month later, he calls and asks me if I could get a bat framed for him. I say sure. He says I just bought a Babe Ruth Bat I need it framed... LOL... At the end of the day...Even though I told him it would be a forgery he still wanted it. and he paid 10 grand for a forgery... And guess what guys? I can say whatever I want, but its his money. I thought is was a foolish buy and its something I wouldn't do with my money, but that did not stop him from buying it.  So at the end of the day I can only shake my head.

Back in the day I was so hell bent on PSA PSA PSA... or JSA JSA JSA.  But at the end of the day I started seeing how I would send a item in and it fails. Only to send that same item to a friend who owns a company that does business with PSA or JSA and they come in to his office and pass the same item that they failed a couple of weeks earlier. WTF? When I submit things it cost me 50, 60, 70 bucks an item. But going through my buddy they authenticate that same item for 5 to 7bucks. So I thought what am I missing here? I send 10 items in 2 pass 8 fail. I send those same 8 items to my buddy and they all authenticated on their house call service for less money? So what did I learn? This is a business... and all my lip service wont change that.  we can complain all we want but those 2 companies run the authentication business of autographs. Sure we  can talk denounce their business tactics on places like this but the last time I checked they still run this business. Is it real or not is determined by their certificates and their LOAS not our "opinions". Theres nothing wrong with us having opinions but if they mean ZERO in the business why spend so much time debating it when the final say is:  do you have a PSA or JSA cert? Thats what is going to determine if it is real in this marketplace when its all said and done.

I'm glad you replied.

Thank you for doing that.
