Nelson Mandela Forgery's on Ebay & Abebooks

I am a big fan and collector of Nelson Mandela Rip I also sell some Mandela items on Ebay. I have noticed that there is more and more Mandela forgery's coming onto the market and are actually making more money on Ebay than genuine items. I know the dealers who are supplying the market and have confronted them only to be ignored. Is there any other Nelson Mandela collectors on this forum who have have come across this and is there any way to stop these forgers.

Unfortunately there is just no way to stop all the forgeries out there. The only way to buy is to know a reputable dealer, see it yourself or excellent knowledge of the signature. If I wanted one I would buy an EASTON PRESS signed edition. Not cheap but genuine. I would like to see these forgers locked up, but for some reason law enforcement doesnt get involved much. You can read plenty of posts about Ebay turning a blind eye to the sea of forgeries on it. I contact ebay about forged eagles guitars and they dont even take them off! Its a shame if you have authentic sigs for sale. The forgeries lower values. Its a common problem and a big battle here.

Problem is these Forgers know how to play the system and are making a business out of it. Even some of the more well known dealers have been caught out by these Mandela forgers.

Same thing happened with Paul Walker unfortunately. I saw one those fake cast signed posters sell for more than $1500.

There is a dealer on Ebay who even gets the Forged Mandela books professionally Binded which fools the buyer into thinking that he is buying a very special book when all he is getting is a worthless fake. There is also a series if signed Ltd Edition In His Own Words by Nelson Mandela being sold on Ebay that are all forged/fake.
