Great autograph to discuss, Bruce. My vote is that it's real. I'm looking forward to the opinions from members who really study Lennon, tho.

not sure about this one Steve, I don't like it.   just looks off to me.

+1... compares to this one from 1972 (from gottahaveit sold for $4400 in 2011) it looks wrong...

and another one...

I'm not sure either, Terrier. It does look off, but I think it's got a chance. I think it's worth discussing.
OK...That's evidence against it. Let's keep going.

I believe this has issues. I would say that the signature is take on John's mid 70s style and the facial doodle is very unusual.

I think the forger has mixed Johns 63 style with his mid/late 70s style of signature.. words like "love" and "to" he has used his mid 60`s style while he has used mid/late 70s on his signature... if you compare the 2 I compare against it you will see that they are written by same person (JL) but not the same person as the one Bruce posted in this discussion...

The slant seems to be off, too. More to the right than slightly left. Are there examples where he crossed his 7?

yes, I have seen examples where the 7 was crossed

Here`s a few handwritten letters from JL from 1972 from the  book "Letters from John lennon".. on one of the letters he has inscribed the year with the 7 crossed..

Bruce, what do you think? Why did you post this?
