To my knowledge, the only Mantles Steiner has applied their hologram to are the ones they obtained directly from Mantle's girlfriend (Greer Carson?) after he died.

In my opinion, these are not from that lot, nor do they appear to be authentic.

Yes Greer Johnson. I have one.

Thanks for the clarification, Barry. I was pretty sure I mucked up the last name! :-)

Well I had to go look. I couldn't remember on my own!

I agree with Mr. Zarelli. not authentic and likely bogus Steiner stickers.

It is surprising that Steiner is not aggressively pursuing these cases where it is objectively provable the items did not come from Steiner. Here is a player that they did not certify to any extent. And if I recall correctly, the Steiner COAs on the legit Mantles stated "from the Greer Johnson collection," which these COAs do not.

What is it going to take to get them to pursue this matter? Steiner holograms on a Cap Anson cut?

maybe they are Steve.  I hope they are.

I hope you are right. Brandon Steiner is a smart businessman who understands the power of "brand," and unquestionable authenticity is the hallmark of the Steiner brand. It would be surprising to me that he would not aggressively pursue any entity that was eroding his brand with counterfeit holograms.

I sent these to Joe Groglio  with steiner via a facebook message. He is pretty good about having crap  that isnt theres taken off ebay.

Greer Johnson collection COAs were on form letters, no mantles have been certed on actual Steiner paper coas to my knowledge.
My piece doesn't have the Steiner hologram on it. I can't remember what the loa looks like, I can dig it out of the safe if anyone wants. I bought it from Steiner.
