I just received this email from New England Picture who does many autograph signings in the Mass area. Does anybody else think $900-1k for an autograph signing is a bit ridiculous, especially if you aren't even going to meet him? I know Tristar's signings were at around $600, which was ridiculous on its own, but now $1k??!?

Would anybody actually pay for this? Just wanted some opinions from other members.

Here's the link to the signing:

Crazy? Absolutely. Just as crazy as people paying that much for Michael Jordan, but hey they're both the G.O.A.T. in their sport, no one is forcing you to pay it!

I wouldn't pay 1k to hang out with him and his wife for a day.

I can't stand it when the promoters characterize these overpriced sports autographs as any sort of "good deal" or "solid investment."  I don't think anyone can even play that card for this signing though.

The solid investment verbiage is the worst. Whether its a signed photo or pulled from a pack card. Just like ive posted other threads....people asking $20k for kris Bryant rookie bgs10 cards??? The guy hasn't even hit the majors and he's commanding more than trout rookie cards! That's why the grading thing is a joke. It's a scam to pump the real value up by 5x, if not more

well, maybe just his wife!

Now that makes sense!
She could sign my balls

the prices are beyond ridiculous.  Will some people pay the 600+?  Yes.  Will people pay the 900-1000?  I highly doubt it.

what this does is make the forgeries that are abundant on ebay, more attractive to the inexperienced collector.  Some of them are actually very good.  the GA certed Brady forgeries would fool a lot of people if they all weren't cookie cutter, like the Jeters were.

If you are patient, you can still get nice, authentic Brady signatures for under 300.  I just purchased a mini helmet for 200, and I bought a signed football a couple of years ago for 75.  Photo for 125.  they dont come around very often, but the deals are there if you know what you are buying.

Some people will pay the price. Especially after winning the SB. Heck Jorge Posada, sorry to keep bringing up baseball references but that was my specialty. Was asking $350-$375 from Steiner! He is a tough auto, always has been but as I have a g/u rookie bat he would never sign...I would pay that price even thou I know it's just a dumb price. Glad I have trustworthy people who still seek autos that I can just give them an item and I know it will be real
Hank aaron just did a signing in June here and yes a different sport but we can all agree he's the real home run king! Anyways, they were charging between $300 to $600(jsy)! I have an amazing jsy I want and need to get signed but at $600 I even passed.

Now onto Brady..I'd suggest waiting as they just won the SB hence the high mark up! Same thing happened with Aaron rodgers after they won the SB. He was getting I think. $600. But to me for Brady whom I don't consider the best ever...I'd never spend that much especially if your a fan and not getting to met him!

Glad the Chiefs used to have their camp in river falls, wi before he retired as they had a signing day and got him on a bunch of things! Gotta love free autos!

Good luck! Hope I helped!

Rodgers wasn't anywhere near $600.  I don't think he was a third of that.  I got a 16 x 20 w/ two inscriptions for about $300 - 350 from his first post-SB private signing.

Where was the private signing? If your in Wisconsin, he's gonna get more than say NY/NJ!
Saw your post of getting it from Denver. I'm pretty sure he was more here!!
