There is a now defunct "authentication company" that was known as Spectrum of Sports. It was GREATLY known to certify forgeries you can still locate items with their COAs such as this http://www.itsalreadysigned4u.com/sports-memorabilia-Dale-Earnhardt...

The authentication company may have been a cover used by retailers to give the illusion of 3rd party or expert authentication.

The Company is no more...However, it should not be confused with Spectrum Sports Collectibles which is in no way related.

If anyone needs any help with NASCAR items that have Spectrum of Sports coas, Let me know.

good to know. There are many third party services out there that should be avoided, I will add this one to the "list"
LOL! One day we need to combine lists and set a "Master List" out for the community that we 100% stand behind as experts.

I think that's a GREAT idea Brandon ! It would be awesome to have master lists on this site of good and bad dealers in alphabetical order.

Good info...thanks.

Hi Brandon,

You used an example from the It's Already SIgned 4 U Website which got me to think twice as I was about to purchase something from that website.  What about this soccer ball signed by the Japanese women's national soccer team from that website: http://www.itsalreadysigned4u.com/2011-japan-women-s-soccer-team-au...  Can you let me know if you think it's real?  I've been wanting a ball signed by them and this is the ONLY website that carries it.

Also can I just ask how you know Spectrum of Sports certify forgeries?  You sound credible but I am just curious how you know.  I know I'm a few years late in replying as I just found this, but please reply!
