What makes you think that it would increase in value quickly if were forking out 8k.

He would have to prove who he says he claims to be Dave.

Paul,

I have no idea why the first addition is black. I was online tonight

on eBay and I saw a black cover of Grapefruit (unsigned).

It had a picture of Yoko on it and she was wearing sun glasses.

Is this the same book? Time to ask Ballroom or Terrier or Jim Cushman. They will know. It sounds like a first addition..that would

be my guess. You may never see such a good example of a Lennon/Ono inscription as this one unless you buy a letter written by John. (very-very expensive). If I had the money, I wouldn't hesitate

on this piece. Speaking of that, I'm $130.00 away from owning my dual signed John & Yoko Grapefruit book. I should own it by next week! I'm very excited.

Ones a paper back released around the same time. Google the very first was released in japan than the New York editions.

I know what your saying Dave it doesn't come much better its really nice almost an art piece but at 8k he wants he is out of the ball park imo.

You paid that off quick. Moving onto your next item no doubt.

Thanks,

Yes, I went after my piece with a vengeance. I will pay it off this week and have it shipped to me by FedEx or Ups from strawberry walrus by next week. I must save for frames now. I will by another auto in about a year from now. I have to slowly save for it.

I have 15 autos that are just sitting here. I bought Polyester bags to store them in and lint free gloves to handle them with. I have to get going on framing my 4 Beatles and 4 Pink Floyd individually signed autos. I have to get my group signed Fleetwood Mac  auto framed as well. That's very valuable. All have been authenticated by Roger.

The Grapefruit book comes with a Tracks, UK Loa but I still want to send it to Roger Epperson as soon

as I get it. I want his Loa on it. I want to be doubly sure it's authentic.  I was told I can only frame the

Lennon/Ono signature Grapefruit book in a shadow box (deep) frame because the book is going to

be opened to the signed frame. I bought a 1972 used vintage faded yellow cover unsinged copy of the Grapefruit book which will go in the frame. I will use the cover of that book next to the opened auto book. I also bought a beautiful vintage Geffen Records black and white promo record label picture of John and Yoko which will also go in the frame. It's going to look amazing. I'm very excited!

It's an expensive hobby but loads of fun.

It is a fun but expensive hobby. But it also has an eerie dark side as well. There are as many forgers as there are good sellers out there. I find it very dangerous. That's why I only buy from reputable/well know/well established/well respected dealers. Some of my less expensive autos have come from misc. sellers that had a PSA Loa's with them. I sent them all down to Roger in Houston and they all came back as authentic. For my more expensive pieces, I've bought from Roger, Strawberry Walrus and Iconic Auctions. RR auctions is fine too. I can't afford buying from Tracks or Caiazzo. There are many other fine seller out there too. I'd rather pay a little more to these fine sellers and have the piece of mind from their expertise and an Loa knowing that I've made an informed/safe purchase. I was ripped off on a Stevie Nicks auto and a Harrison auto when I first started. Both sellers had great stories about there autos. I fought them and got my money back. That's the dark side. But I still love the hobby and am learning a heck of a lot. I'm much more knowledgeable now then when I started 8 months ago.

Most of the inscription is yoko. John wrote love and peace.
