The Beatles - Recently Added A Special Item To My Collection

Hi Fellow AML Members,

I've recently managed to acquire some special beatles autographs from TV & Only Fools & Horses Star Sue Holderness who had an interesting connection with The Beatles back in 1964. It's a fascinating great story that I thought would be worth sharing with you all..

Sue Holderness' father was an airline pilot and flew the Beatles to Paris back in 1964 -- it was the day that Ringo (famously got caught in fog and missed the flight) it was in the press at the time and Sue's dad saved the day by managing to get the plane to still take off from London airport.

He was mentioned in the official Beatles magazine in March 1964 - Sue was a 14 year old girl with a crush on Paul McCartney and her dad managed to obtain the three beatles autographs..

Sue had the following which I recently purchased from her...

- The three Beatles autograph on an official BEA postcard

- The 1964 Beatles Magazine that mentioned her dad and pictures of the three Beatles who actually made the flight

- The small locket she wore at school with a picture of her crush paul mccartney inside

- pages from her diary entry of it all happening in 1964

- A signed letter by sue telling the story of the events

Wow, Rob! Where was I last Thursday when you posted this?! Obviously not paying attention. Shame though, isn't it? That personalization renders it essentially worthless. I mean...who would want it now? Ha, ha. I'M ONLY JOKING! Who would want it? Well, only pretty much EVERY member of AML!!

That is really awesome. CONGRATULATIONS!! And yes, that's a great story. Way to go!
