I found the auction catalog for 2009,  but never seen this one in there.

Beautiful signature and inscription!

Haven`t seen to many autographs that Elvis dated the item.

I've had a few that were dated but you're right not too often  would  he do that.

Some of the lead forgers (Hans Bakker) tend  to date their handy work.

I guess they think it lends some "legitimacy" to their efforts.

How much would this signed piece be worth?  For insurance purposes.

Please note that I have had this photo in my hands and it is really rough shape.  There a many creases some deep and some of the emulsion is missing. (that is the white you see on the left side of the photo top to bottom)

Yes Roger, there is deep creases on the top right corner and emulsion is missing on the the top and bottom left side, but no defect on the inscription and signature. That`s why i have a hard time putting a value on this piece.  Still a nice and rare item. Thank-you for chiming in.

Jake - this is in your possession now and you are looking to sell it?

I own the autograph photo and will sell for a decent offer.

I agree, it's very tough putting a value on something with damage on it.  I had offered to buy it one time on approval and when I saw it I just returned it.  It would be very hard for me to sell like that.  Most customers want things in better condition.  I said what I said so that if someone was going to give it a value then they should know about the flaws.  Scans hide these flaws easily.  The emulsion loss looks like reflection of light in the scan here.

Roger, Should i keep it the way it is or make a cut of it and put in a frame with a nice photograph?  Thanks !

Absolutely do not cut it apart. I'd leave it as-is.

If you feel the need to do something, have a conservator mount it on an archival backing board for support and to keep it flat.
