It could be ok. I'm skeptical though. Here's my Bergman.

Now  the one you have posted is nice  ; with clear lettering.    Trouble is with the thick felt that was used with the one I posted is that you can't differentiate between the letters so that kind of worries me as well as it makes it more difficult to  see

I agree, Michelle. I also am concerned about the angle of her signature on yours as well. She has a natural tendency to angle upward with her signature. Not all cases, but most of the time. I think if you are looking at this one, you may want to pass for a better example. JMO.

I do know what you mean as well ; - because the almost perfect straight line  spacing was the first thing that caught my eye.   The other thing that is curious is that this is the first time I have seen this photo in  a size smaller than 8 x 10 . I also think its a more recent 'signing' than the seller  states.

The signature would be in the latter stages of her life. I think there are better examples out there.

oh yes without a doubt there are better examples but it was at a very good price so that was a factor.

I know what you mean about that. Although, that's the thrill of the hunt.

i have to agree with Joe W.  Like his, the promotional photo in my collection that she signed in 1946, her autograph definitely tends to drift upward (never noticed that was a regular thing Joe, thanks for that :)  -  Here's my Bergman in her promotional photo for Hemingway's "For Whom  the Bell Tolls", and close-up.

Absolutely stunning! That's a keeper!!

many thanks Joe, I really appreciate it.  Since the first time I saw Casablanca, I've had a crush on her ever since.....a very close 2nd in the 40's is the lovely Hedy Lamarr :o)  happy holidays my friend.

Love Hedy too. I have a couple of signed photos of her as Delilah.

Aw man, I'd love to see them.  Are they on your site?  I loved that it was in color too, such a beauty :o)
