I'll start. "Autographs America" at :http://www.autographsamerica.com/index.asp
See if you can find a worse example of obvious fake signed albums, guitars or drumheads.
I defy you :-)

40 year old Clapton?

If anyone have been dealing with a guy from England called Frank Herstell with an Ebay alias of "Alifetimework", please let me know. Because he have sold two fake signed records to me and right now I try to build a case against him. So I would like to make sure no one else pay money for fake autographs to this person.
I simply cannot believe the "autographs" that Autographs America are selling. Currently they have 5 signed Beatles guitars by all 4? Enough said..................
Well, I just looked at the DOORS' autographed items and had a good laugh. Those Morrison signatures look like they were written by a five-year-old child... with apologies to the child.

Holy cow!! Autographsamerica.com  has 5 "autographed" Beatles guitars along with a Jimi Hendrix Woodstock signed guitar.  The prices actually seemed to depend on the quality of the guitars NOT the SO-CALLED "autogrpahs"!  I wonder if I wanted more "signed" guitars how long it would take for them to come up with them.  Anything for a buck from an ignorant well-meaning buyer.  How long can these crooks continue selling their garbage.  It only hurts the real deal stuff..I am told  that there really is a single genuine signed Beatles/Rolling Stones guitar in the world but  I am pretty sure it isn't available from AutographsAmerica.com.
I've never seen anything I thought was genuine from Autographs America. We actually have an email from the owner to a person we believe was a forger telling them what to forge.

How about AACS? I just got a refund for a bunch of fakes I bought from them. But I also got some real stuff from them too. Anyone else have any experiences with AACS or are you smart enough to stay away from  them?

I've bought quite a bit of stuff from AACS over the last couple of years. About 3 weeks ago I won the auction for some items including a couple of jerseys. When the items arrived one of the jerseys wasn't in the package. I've sent 5-6 emails asking them to research where it could be and finally telling them just to credit back my account for the cost of the jersey. I haven't had any response from them at all. I've had minor issues with them before and they were always handled quickly and now nothing. The phone # I found on the Web for them says it's a dead #. Very frustrating.
I had success returning fakes to AACS but I had checked them out, had them authenticated first. Then I sent the fakes along with the letters on letterhead from a reputable dealer stating they were fakes, and sent them to this address:

AACS, Inc.

Attn: Anthony

211 4th Avenue East

Leland, Iowa 50453

Good luck! I got a full refund, which amounted to about $350, but I have a few items I bought from them that I gave as gifts and some I still have that I never authenticated. Anyway, good luck.

Thanks Jay. Interestingly enough 10 minutes after I joined this site and posted my problem the money for the jersey was credited back to my account. Pretty coincidental right? To be honest with you I have never felt the urge to have anything from them authenticated. I guess my thought is if you're not dealing with someone you can trust then why deal with them? At any rate, this experience has left a bad taste with me for them. By the way, the last several times I've gotten emails from them it's been from Jerry, not Anthony. I was under the impression that maybe they changed hands as several policies and fees had changed also.

Hi, John;

I think Anthony is the owner and Jerry works for him. I know that I have given as gifts several items I bought from them and with my bad experience with them I now feel like I probably passed on fakes to people I liked, aa the while thinking I was giving a "different" gift experience.

Jay

I just found out that the UACC expelled AACS from their Registered Dealer program in early February. Very good news.
