Elvis at Graceland 1963

 

Signed for a young neighbour lady who lived near Graceland...signed in her high school year book...

The one signature that you probably can't make out is Travis Smith. He was Elvis's moms brother...so he was Elvis's uncle and was employed as a guard at the gates of Graceland.

can we see the page in its entirety? 1963 seems weird for Elvis to sign a yearbook but what do I know

I am convinced...

The fact that his father signed too and his uncle and that the gal who owned it lived adjacent to Graceland...the provenance is 100 per cent solid...

When all else fails and if you're still not sure...ask Roger to chime in...

And Mike it doesn't belong to me...a friend bought I recently and sent me a scan...this is all I've got...

neither the Elvis or the Vernon are typical.  I do not believe these are authentic, regardless of the story.

glad you were able to confirm your beliefs, Don.  Here is what I would have expected a 1963 Elvis auto to look like.  the one in the subject, if someone said mid to late 50's, I probably would have believed.  I just thought this example was atypical of his sixties styles, an example of which is below:
