Signed in blue sharpie. Said to have been obtained in 2008 in Los Angeles. Any thoughts are appreciated.

That's as real as it gets! At least in my opinion. Correct for the period, too.

Steve, that was my initial thought on this too but PSA threw a curve ball and said "Likely Not Genuine" on the quick opinion :(

What I notice is that the pen pressure doesn't get light on the high and low points. I heard Jackson would hold the pen up high to avoid getting ink on his hands.

I'm going to ask roger for a second opinion.

That's true, Gio...very good! But if he was holding a stack of photos in one hand with his thumb keeping them in place, where his thumb was would be the low point of the photo.

Take a look at th first photo in this article: http://autographmagazine.com/michael-jackson-remembered-in-autographs/

I agree, though. Show it to Roger.

Looks Very Similar! The letter "J" is right on the nose! and around the same year as this one! even the ink looks alike. I just sent for a quick opinion to Signed, Sealed, and Delivered. I will let you know the outcome.

I'm looking forward to hearing what Roger thinks.

Definitely, he is always really good at answering back quick. By tomorrow morning I should have the answer.

UPDATE: Received an email back from Roger saying that the Michael Jackson photo IS Authentic, is very nice and was a great find! :) you have a good eye Steve!

Authentic, psa failed again useless buggers.
As I have mentioned before, take PSA/DNA QO with a grain of salt. Their Quickie errors on the side of caution. The key word here is errors. I have found that their QO frequently does not get it right. To me personally, they have given thumbs down twice on items that turned out to be genuine.

Yes, I use their service alot and almost always get "likely not genuine." When you say that they turned down two authentic items, how did you find out? Did you still submit them to PSA and they passed or did another expert authenticate them?
