As a collector of autographs, rock memorabilia, I feel that I need to allow for a percentage of forgeries that I may have purchased over my time of collecting. Well I hope to keep the percentage small, but I think it's almost impossible to have a 100 percent success rate ,not being an expert that is. Even these days people are disagreeing with tpa.

Well that seems to be the reality for me , how about you and your collection?

It is kind of funny how these guys all pile on Chris. I don't know Chris from Adam, butI have read his posts and quite honestly if I ever were to want a Mantle autograph.....I'd seek his approval before even consider buying one.

Thank you, Pete.

They "try" to pile on me because I am the most vocal about forgeries in the hobby.

And are currently forging olympic athletes autographs.
You do rile them up like no other Chris.

By the way, this is "Larson."

Best offer under $70 was accepted here by the same seller.

Babbling idiot and a financial wizard.

Yep.  A whopping $70.00 for "authentic" Mantle/Killebrew autographs.

Yeah right.

Oh but wait, they were "Forensically Examined" by Stephen Rocchi (GFA) and his 17-Point Examination for $25.00.

17 point examination? You would think if they did that then these wouldn't pass. I'm likely sure  99% of the time they don't even look at it or do that stupid 17 point examination and they just go "Alright yeah that looks right, lets just slap out sticker on here and call it good." Also "These were consistent with examples E1 through E3." Only 3 examples? You need a lot more than just 3 to tell if one is real or not. I'm not even sure if the examples they are comparing them to are authentic.

Samuel, I would love to see Rocchi's so-called exemplar files.

Exactly, what I'm saying. I'm sure none of that 17 point examination is even done at all. It's all just for show.
Probably bought STAT authentication's exemplar files when they went out of business.
