Signed letter and signed photograph received from Obama. Real or autopen?

I just received a signed letter from Obama with a signed (silver pen) photograph of the white house.

From what I can tell from looking at various examples on the net, it seems as if they are real, not autopen.

Can anyone help me verify this?

Many thanks.

Ed

They look like an autopens to me.

This is a picture of the reverse showing pressure points and ink coming through.

You can see telltale blobs of ink at the beginning and end of lines.

Ballroom is correct. No human would leave those blots of ink at the end of a signature. Or at the end of the line through the "O". A human releases pressure at the end.

Thanks for the info. Good to know.

You can see the difference. This is a real autograph, no dots.

Thanks Travis. The letter was beautiful, very personal and mentioned my partner so I'm happy with that. Will be framed along with the picture and passed down through the generations.
Autopen, my daughter received same type of letter with AP just like yours. Really nice letters though
Yes. He was really personal to the issues I raised and mentioned my partner Joe by name which added that extra special touch. Was amazing to come home and find that huge manila envelope with the White House printed on the front lying on the doormat. The signed photo of the white house lit up in the rainbow colours also included. Will be cherished.

Yeah. That's an awesome keepsake to have. We were just giving information about the autopens, not at all downplaying how cool it is to get presidential memorabilia.

I agree. They are great items, Eddy. Congrats on receiving them.

And thank you very much for the clarification! I appreciate that you took the time to reply.
