I don't harbor any illusions about this one, but I have to ask, does anyone know what it is?  It looks like a picture of a picture?  Someone with too much time on their hands?  I can't find the same image anywhere, and would be somewhat surprised if one exists.

With the crop, loss of detail and jacked-up contrast a later print is suggested, perhaps from a copy negative. If larger than 7.5 x 10 it would be an enlargement from the original from what just I read.

Without the white border on either side it's 7 x 10".  I've seen the photo, my fault I was unclear, just not one with signatures all over it.

I took your wording literally and went looking for the image, not the signatures! ;)

Sorry about that:-)

If that measures 7x10 now it is still a later enlargement IMO as there is a lot more than the white borders missing on all 4 sides in the image you posted.

Both my father and grandfather had Babe Ruth in person signatures.  My grandfather had a home run ball that he caught, or scrambled for, and it was signed and dated, I believe 1931.  Superb condition.

They lived in NYC, when my grandparents got too old to care for themselves properly they moved to a house my uncle owned in Boston.  The ball disappeared, this was 1983 or so. Neighborhood kids helped them move, one of them got a ball, he showed it to a lot of people.

My father says that he was playing at a school park when the Babe showed up.  This was late in his life.  Babe's life, not my father's.  My father said he signed for all the kids, was told by a handler it was time to go, and said no, not until I get everyone.

My father says he carried the signature in his wallet until it wasn't recognizable.  That's about a month for my thermal printed receipts, but he says it was longer for him:-)

That is really nice. All that remains are the memories - the most valuable part. :)
