I would appreciate thoughts on these two Robert Kennedy signatures. Both are on United States Senate letterheads. Thanks!

I would say no. Signed very slow & shakey just like the autopen
I would definitely say no on the first. I think it's very likely an autopen sig. The second likely is too, but I can't tell for sure.

Thanks for the replies. I also thought the first one looked strange. I have three from a seven week period in 1968 and none matched when doing an overlay. Was the autopen matrix changed that often? The 2nd TLS was signed 9 days before he was shot, and that is the one I was wondering if it was worth taking a $100 shot at a COA. PSA charges $75, plus shipping both ways. Thanks again!

Here is a tls from 1967. This Rfk is very close to the second example you present. There are more similarities than not, especially when you look at them sideways.

In my opinion all three examples are auto pen and I would save your money

Perfect match when you overlay Robert's example and the one posted by Dean in photoshop.

Hello Hitmanten, thanks for the overlay. It shows just how close the two signatures really are. The very slight variations can happen with an autopen machine when there's age, wear, adjustment, ink thickness, when bumped into and whatever else the operator could do to make them appear different.

Absolutely - these were a 100% match when fully superimposed. I slightly separated them in the pic above just so it was clear that they were from 2 different documents. Any other incremental discrepancies were because I had to adjust the size in photoshop between the signatures as they were both taken from different distances from the 2 documents.
