A**hole celebs (in person experience)

I have rarely told this this story but thought I'd share it here to see if others have similar experiences to share.

William Shatner (a short personal story)...

I was just a kid, around 8 yrs old and my Dad started me into collecting signatures. He was a professional photographer and got me several famous autographs by himself but tried to teach me to go up to a celebrity and ask for myself. We were at the Vancouver Yacht Club one day for a photo-shoot for a rally (early '70's) and saw William Shatner milling about by himself (no crowd or people around him). My Dad says go ask for his autograph. So I walked up to William and asked him for an autograph. He looked at me quickly and in an instant and very abruptly said "NO" and walked away. I was shocked and a bit crushed by his response because he seemed so nice on TV. I went back to my Dad and told him what happened and my Dad's response was "what an A**hole !!". Ya that's what I thought too and still do to this day. I will never look at him on TV or movies the same ever again and will NEVER even think of purchasing his sig. I did find out later in life that William actually is an arrogant A**hole as a person.

I've often wondered how many people have been rejected in a private setting. Please share an experience or just state the person's name if you have one. Let's see who the A**hole celebs are. I don't mean celebs who are difficult or shy, I mean the ones who are just plain rude and obnoxious/arrogant.

u would be surprised how many are *sses

I always tell people u don't want to meat people u idolized u will usual be dissapinted

There were about 5 or 6 of us that waited by Natalie Merchant's tour bus after a concert in Detroit a few years ago. She finally came out of the venue well after midnight. I happened to catch her as she was walking towards the bus, and she abruptly declined my autograph request, waved at the others waiting nearby and entered the bus. A few minutes later, she came over to the few of us still waiting, and handed one of the fans a bag of garbage from the bus, turned around and went back on the bus without signing for anyone. She waved at us from the back window as the bus pulled away. Very strange indeed. That's the first (and last) time I attempted to get her autograph, so not sure if that is typical for her.
