Would love people's opinion on this. It's a situation where PSA used to have a represenative at these auctions back in 2004-2007. I am worried that the auction house sort of imposed on PSA to do these. What do people think of the Abe Lincoln ? I think the signature is legit, but wanted to ask before even thinking about buying

I don't really like it.

Do you think it's a fake ? The signature does look real with the flow and angles. Does anyone have experience with these early auction 2004-2006 authentications from PSA

The signature itself looks odd.... and what was this "cut" from?  The LOA description is focused almost solely on the engraving and the fact that it is signed by the artist.  The Lincoln signature gets a one sentence mention.  Odd.  It reads like this was being sold for the value of the engraving.

Google MastroNet.  Yes, there were issues with this particular source.  Also, here:

Ty, A possible Joseph Cosey forgery….not a fan of the basically straight baseline….my humble opinion.

Yes, David...that could be.

If you read the MastroNet / PSA Letter carefully, the wording could be taken that "the beautifully penned cut signature of  'A. Lincoln' " actually make no claims that this is Abraham Lincoln's authentic signature.

Again, the focus is on the engraving and the artist's signature.
