Hi!

Any help with this AC/DC plectrum, said to been signed in 1982 by Angus Young, Malcolm Young, Cliff Williams, Phil Rudd and Brian Johnson, would be much appreciated! The seller claims he got these in-person.

Thanks for helping!

I am not sure on this one.  Here is my signed guitar that you can compare with.

Thank you TW! I just got a message from the seller, and according to him he got the autographs himself in 1982. Don't know if that info helps or not...

And I love your guitar!!

What concerns me with this, is the A in ACDC is the same for both Angus and Phil and similar for Malcolm. The A goes back in both Malcolm and Angus.

I would leave this my friend.

Thanks Richard!

He said that he got these in Copenhagen 1982, when he worked as a photographer at the concert. It can be true, but anyone can also make these stories up...

Absolutely nobody was getting pickguards signed in 1982, and certainly not ones featuring decals with photoshop created graphics on them.

Further, the image on the pickguard, which has been signed on, is from "AC/DC at River Platte," which took place in 2009 and was released on video in 2011. The seller is scum.

Well done. Love the approach you took JJ.

Thanks Eric. What's great about this community is that we can help each other like this.

One other thing to keep in mind about AC/DC is that Phil Rudd was an incredibly reluctant signer. The minute I see anything signed by him I immediately question the authenticity. Click here for further proof.

Yes, getting anything signed by AC/DC members (even Angus these days) is getting tough, but Phil was in a class of his own.

If you caught him in just the right moment with max 1-2 other fans, you might get lucky. Pleading might work, or it might not.

Unfortunately that's not real
Thanks to all of you, that's why this place is so great!

What a scumbag! Unfortunally someone just bought it for $250... :-(
