Hi Everyone :-)

I was wanting to buy this beautiful red SG Guitar signed by AC/DC but I have had conflicting opinions on it and those conflicting opinions have come from both reputable big name 3rd party authenticators as well as highly regarded and well respected AC/DC collectors who specialise in collecting AC/DC signed items.

I now have a huge dilemma in whose opinion I should trust as being accurate. I really love this signed guitar but find it hard to commit to the sale when some are saying they think it's fake and others are saying it's the real deal. One very reputable AC/DC collector said he was so convinced it was the real deal that if he were in the market for a signed AC/DC guitar that he'd buy it himself yet a highly respected authenticator said his opinion was that it was 'not likely authentic'.

Who to believe?!?! If anyone would like to have a look at this signed SG guitar please let me know your thoughts and why you think it's genuine or not. Link below.

In my opinion, this is not real. After looking at their other signed guitars, they are not real either, especially the Kiss, Rolling Stones and Led Zeppelin!

I'd steer clear if I was you my friend!

Hi Richard,

Thanks for your opinion, much appreciated. Can you elaborate on the particular reason why you think the signatures on the AC/DC red SG guitar are fake? What in particular about the signatures leans you to that opinion. Do you have AC/DC signed memorabilia? I've had such conflicting opinions on this more than any other item I've considered buying. Cheers :-)

They just don't looks right and for all the reasons other members have stated.

I have some early 80's signatures and also in person signatures from other items they have and theirs are just not right.

Seller is garbage. All of their U2 stuff is fake. They either have no clue what they're doing or run a straight forgery outfit.

Ok cool. Interesting and good to know. Thanks for your opinion. Cheers :-)

I've seen "galleries" like this in other parts of the US selling some of these same styles of forgeries. They're not particularly convincing, and some of them are quite obviously in the same hand.

These signatures are not in the hand of the members of ac/dc. There is too much wrong with them. My biggest concerns with this guitar is Phil Rudd and cliff Williams signatures. Phil is all wrong and the signature are too long to be genuine. And cliff have the wrong flow in the signature. Not to mention the hesitation in angus.

On a side note, feel free to do some research on rock star gallery. It is pretty interesting reading.

Thanks Bjarne :-)  Yes I've read some pretty poor reviews on Rock Star gallery with a few good reviews thrown in as well. Maybe they wrote the good ones themselves.... lol :-)

The good reviews are most likely from people who have no idea they've been scammed. They're commenting based on the customer service and/or perception that they just bought an incredible item.

Ha, I've been to that store in person. Since I live in AZ, they had one movie Poster and it was a Cast signed Pulp Fiction Poster. Let tell you that they were selling it for $950 and someone had already bought it. I looked at it and was just baffled at the Uma Thurman signature on it. I feel sorry for whoever bought it.

@ Rich. Yes true. I agree with you 100% and it happened to me once but I'm making sure it never happens again... ;-)

Hi Everyone, Here is another AC/DC signed guitar but this one I'm certain is real. Just thought I'd post this one out of interest and so people can compare it to the red SG on Rock Star Gallery.

Cheers :-)
