I've been wondering what the acceptable ranges are for the proper storage of signed documents, primarily autographed records. I happen to live in an area where the summer can have tremendous swings in humidity and I don't want to risk damaging some of my signed albums. I also am considering storing in a basement safe but the basement can get a bit damp. I had an album that got wet and the signatures bled which is understandable but I'm more concerned with regular humidity in a house or storage area. Thanks in advance for your advice/input.

Try to keep your items in no direct sunlight, under 80 degrees, and no real house light on them for any length of time.  Humidity is a killer, keep them well ventalated too.  In my room, I had 6 cieling recessed style lights.  I removed 4 of them and only have light over my compuer.  If your room gets humid, invest in a table fan and keep the air circulated.
Also, it depends on where you live. Florida would be a bad place for paper type items.
