Seller ANDRET3637 Items are riddled with ACE authentication(banned by EBAY last I looked) which he sells for about 1/3 of the price of his own uncerted photo's of the same person. Look at this beauty where Scarlett misspelled her own name. Then he has the SMALL PRINT that states its your responsibility to ensure the pre certed item you buy is good.
Here is his conditons on buying certed items: Everything will be sold ’’as is", with no guarantees of any kind on my part, except if the signature is proven unauthentic by a reputable source. Please keep in mind that condition statements are merely my opinion. Buyers shall rely entirely on their own inspection and information. Statements on the "Certificates of Authenticity" are the opinion of the company or entity which issued the certificate and not those of the seller. The information contained on any such certificate is added to the description merely as an attempt to fully disclose any information accompanying the item, and in no way constitutes a guarantee of the validity of the information on the certificate. It is the sole responsibility of the buyer to verify the claims made on said certificate before making an offer on that particular item. When placing offers on items accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity, it is the sole responsibility of the buyer to research the company or entity which issued the certificate and bases any bidding activity on the strength of the company which issues the certificate. No refunds will be given due to disputes over the validity of information contained on any Certificate of Authenticity.

Too bad ebay automatically inserts the following condition at the top of every auction - "Seller assumes all responsibility for this listing."
That always trumps the long buck-passing manifestos that he and other sellers spend so much time composing. They are funny to read though.

ACE is banned from eBay, so there shouldn't be anything from them up.

Steve, this EBAY seller has a ton of ACE crap up. He never mentions the authentication company by name so unless EBAY looks at each of the stickers they wouldn't know. I reported probably 20 of them. EBAY doesn't give me a spot to explain why I was reporting it. Not sure how to notify them any other way.

I have yet to see EBAY take down an auction I report with banned authenticators. Not sure how the bad Mantles always get yanked so quick.

I have virtually never seen any results reporting things through the ebay system, and have basically stopped wasting my time doing it. Bad items that are posted here are usually taken care of though, which means that someone there monitors this site, which is a good thing.

I agree with this all the way. It is also my experience that very few music items get yanked, even when they are profoundly bad forgeries. I have had very little luck reporting anything in music. One of the few items in music that i have ever seen get pulled were Beatles items. It seems that if Beatles items are posted on this site and found to be bad, then they get pulled. But if other autographs ex: Elvis, Springsteen, GNR, Metallica, etc get reported that are obviously bad, they stay up. Even when reported on this site and with member confirmation. And even when banned COAs are listed with the item (although not promoted in the title).
I can understand some of this b/c if ebay pulled every item people thought were not genuine, then quite alot of genuine items would be pulled along with the legit ones. And since they dont know the experience of each reporter, it can be hard for them to tell. But when people are using banned COAs as any kind of a selling point is inexcusable on ebays part. And just by posting the COA the member is promoting that COA to make the sale. It really is rediculous.
If i had to guess, it all just depends on the fuss surrounding the item, the reporter of the forgery, the ebay seller status, and how many (if any) other bad items are up. I have reported such horrible music forgeries it was comical and them never get pulled.
