Acrylic Spray on autographs?

Hello, i was curious if it's a good idea to spray a acrylic finish on a autograph I plan on getting. A spray such as this one

I plan on getting a Robert Englund signature on a Freddy krueger replica glove (i'll attach a example) 

I just wonder if it would be a good idea for an item like this as i image the signature would eventually fade on a metal surface. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks

I would advise against spraying any type of acrylic on an autographed item if you ever plan on reselling it.  If you want to preserve the item for the purpose of presentation and are not contemplating resale then William has given you some good advice.  Speak with a chemical or paint expert.
