Many a times me and my compadres have been known to frequent hotels, restraunts, airports, etc. to obtain an autograph.  Personally, I don't really see a problem with it.  I just chalk it up to the price of fame.  However, I've heard many a people complain about graphers who graph hotels and airports.  I just wanted to get some insight from some people and see what you think; hotel/airport graphing- yea or nea?

Wascher- just curious, who is the one autograph that you collect?

Just a guess- its Michael Jackson, right?  I got Michael numerous times while he was alive and he was always great.  One time in NYC outside his recording studio he did a stack of 75 for me since I told him I had rent to pay he was really cool he walked out I said please Michael I gotta pay rent next week he laughed and said here give everything to me I gave him a stack of photos, records, pickguards he took it all into his car sat there signed them all then handed them back through the window.  So Michael was one of the good ones.

Yes, he was very good to people.  There were a lot of times though he wished he could just be left alone (and went out in costumes just so he wouldn't be spotted).  We have to remember as well - its not just the 30 seconds, they can't go ANYwhere without being bothered or hounded.  They owe us nothing.   And your right that is the autograph I study (as well as artwork, his music, etc etc).

Post some pics of the mjs John. Did you sell them all?

Paul- those things have been gone for years.  He didn't sell for crap before he died I was selling Thriller records for 150 each then he died and I sold everything.  I was getting 1500-200 an 11 and about 2500 for the vinyl and 3500-4000 for the guitars the week after he died.

So you are one of those vultures destroying it for fans.... Thank you for your stunning job! :(

Unbelievable some serious cash. I remember seeing thriller vinyl selling on ebay the week after his death sell for 600 dollars unsigned. Silly buyer there's only millions of those albums around.

eat a dick peter

Say the guy whose feelings were hurt.  Get lost.

Wascher, please toss this jerk when you get a chance.

Yea Paul, right after he died it was crazy.  One of the few times I have cried after hearing of a celebs death.  I must have gotten Michael at least 15 times and I only saw him turn us down twice once when he was with his kids and the other when there were at least 40 papparazzi outside of his doctors office in Los Angeles.  Every other time he always did at least 1 per but if there weren't many people around and you told him you really needed the money he took care of you.  I only got the stack of 75 done once but there are 3 times I can remember that he send someone out to take stuff in for Michael to sign.  Each time I gave the guy probably about 20 or 30 things and each time everything came back signed.  I wish I would have kept a couple for myself since Michael was always so kind just to remember him but when he died I got rid of everything.  I must have made over 250,000 off everything.  I had custom painted guitars, custom painted drumheads, Thriller vinyl, Jackson 5 vinyl, Off The Wall vinyl, 11x14s, a couple 16x20's,.  Only thing he would never sign for me was microphones.  He always said they were too hard for him to sign.

Every once in a while I see my Michael stuff on Ebay.  One of these days I am probably going to buy one of them back for my own collection.

250k hell!  Sure would like to see some pics but there all gone. Mj was a ground breaking artist. To bad you didn't keep anything. Cant imagine when Paul McCartney falls of the earth, it wont be a better place when he does.
