Gottahaveitrockandroll.com is having an auction with the Allman Brothers lot (below). It's date 2009 which makes me suspicious of the Dickie Betts signature as he was removed from the band in 2000, and later sued the Allman Brothers- I think there is still alot of bad blood making it unlikely he would sign... any thoughts?

Good job & hats off to GHI for doing so. Am I slowly but surely regaining faith in this industry?
Guys why don't you contact Gotta Have It and ask for more information. If it was purchased they should know the history and if it is on consignment they can ask the consignor the details behind the signature(s) and why it has the shake to it. You are comparing the Dickey to fluid examples that he gives out the majority of the time or a couple you got a few years ago. If I were a bidder I would not want this because it is such an ugly signature (and personalized), but I can tell it is definitely authentic.
No wonder there are no experienced authenticators giving their opinion on this site on a regular basis, it is never ending. Josh got it right a few days ago this thread has gone on way to long - I am finished commenting on this piece.
Actually I got Dickey for over 10 years..he usually signed whatever yo uasked. he was nice about it,,,...the original question was why would Dickey sign this after all the legal issues...it is possible Dickey signed this FIRST and then "paul" obtained the other 3...gregg is unquestionably real... jamoie..looks Ok too....I have never gotten Butch..because i live in NYC and he doesnt stay at the Hotel when they come in with gregg..he goes off to a private apt.....even if it is all real--as you state--it is a pretty ugly Dickey and a personaloized gregg....this isnt going to be an extremely high priced LP when it sells..
Another issue on thjis ';auction" and I checked it out..it does not state the Auction END date or time..anywhere...is this a never ending auction until they get tired of waiting for someone to outbid the other?
