Any opinion on the authenticity of the signings - on line there are about 200 photo's??

Paul Newman and Redford - signed $50

Harrison Ford and Connery - signed $30

Signed cast of American Pie x 8 -$50

Signed cast of Indiana Jones - $50

 Bruce Willis - $20

There are hundreds more - this is the first of a number of sales and they all come with COA's - don't know whose it is though.

My opinion is stay away. Stay far, far away.

At the prices that they are you would have to think that BUT Brick

did you not know that all of the famous, musical, TV and movie stars regularly visit Australia on a fortnightly basis and sign so many items that we can virtually give away authentically signed 8x10 photos?!!!

We are not called the Lucky country for nothing - or is that the GULLible country - and i think that's because we have a lot of sea GULLS here obviously - or maybe GULLiver travelled here - or maybe we have some good GULLfers come from here - or maybe - Damm i give up??!!

The autographs are junk. Very obvious forgeries. I only looked up and saw that the website was Australian afterward. Anyway, a real auction house would tell you what kind of certificate of authenticity you're getting and also let you look at closeups of the signature.

I think I've saved you so much money now that you're indebted to me.

Grant,

I agree with Brick 100%. I looked at a number of these and I didn't see one that I didn't think was clearly a forgery unfortunately.

Well guys I tried

I Sent the following email to them

Ian,

And this is their reply

Good Morning Grant,

Thanks for your email.

The photographs are from a personal collector who I have met and seen his whole collection. He is from England, recently moved here with his family and been collecting signatures his whole life from a huge variety of sources, which is evident in the variety of certificates with the items. In his house there are over 1000 collectable items. At the moment we have 400 of the smaller ones to sell for him as he is no longer being able to run his business due to a car injury. It is very rare for such a quality selection to become available like this so I can understand the scepticism.

I urge you to come to our head office and have a look for yourself anytime. "Experts" on forums do not always know the whole situation.

Thank you and Kind Regards,

Ben Schwidder

They also have a CHALL Heston for sale so included the signature study for them to check. They are a reputable auction house in Australia so hope they don't take umbrage and ban me from buying other things off them - hey some people say that any publicity is good publicity??!!

Thanks for your help Steve and Brick

Grant, if it's a reputable auction house, but not an autograph one it's quite possible he doesn't realize they're forgeries. Then again, he may be turning a blind eye, especially if he does not have to guarantee authenticity. If it's an autograph auction house he should know better and would probably be one to avoid.

The Karen Allen is an atrocious fake, too.  LOL.  She signs a ton of autographs and is very consistent.  That's not even close.

No situation can make these autographs anything but forgeries. Though I will say, the Charlton Heston is an authentic secretarial. Given how horrific some of these forgeries are, I wouldn't have expected that.
