Hi, so I have this piece signed by the original 5 of the band. I have seen it kicking around for a few years so I know it has some history. It was listed on a site before (http://www.gratefully-yours.com/original-line-up-signed-album/) and I have seen it maybe one other time. I got it from a guy who bought it as an investment piece for his kids college fund. He's not a real collector but had everything certified and inspected.

Still, I would love to know your thoughts. The album shows wear enough to be from 1967ish. The ink has pressure marks and seems dated. It's a little weird it was framed with plastic, not glass but that might be neither here nor there. It is well framed though with the very high quality image and plaque. It seems like something a music attorney might hang in their office.

What I know is that someone at one point had it signed (dont know that part of the story) then one collector had it for 30-40 years and sold it.

Any thoughts? Anyone familiar with this piece? I have no reason to believe it's fake but you never know.

I just heard from the guy who sold it from that site. He said that he uses Lexan because it's UV protected, so it's not just regular plastic. He was very clear with me that it's real and to be careful with it because it's not replaceable, mostly because of the pigpen signature.

So that's good news.

ive had pigpen before and he did sign his name its just pig pen and mine was fromm the band and real'u will probably need a few opinios on this as pig pen didn't sign many itiems

ive seen it just pigpen, and his full name with pigpen in the middle. So I have seen both, which is good.
