The Bootsy post made me think about another bass legend. Larry Graham played on all of the classic Sly & the Family Stone albums, then formed Graham Central Station for a great run of albums.

He has an autographed CD for sale on his website for $20 plus shipping.

Larry Graham jammed with Prince about a decade ago and is credited with the invention of the slapping technique on the electric bass guitar.
